My parents would always cook me balanced, nutritious, well-crafted meals growing up. No matter how tired they were after work, they found a way to put 3 dishes, a soup, and rice on the table. I, ever ungrateful, did not care: I lived for the days they weren't home for dinner and I was permitted to eat a packet of my favourite instant ramen.
